CHEVROLET CAMARO,

Overview

The Camaro is a good sports car. It has potent V6 and V8 engine options that help deliver exhilarating acceleration, while responsive steering makes the Camaro just as fun to throw into a corner as it is to rocket away from a stop. The cabin features noticeable hard plastics and unimpressive materials and the back seat is very cramped.

Inside

The Chevrolet Camaro coupe has 9.1 cubic feet of trunk space. The Camaro convertible serves up 7.3 cubic feet of trunk space. The Chevy Camaro has four seats. The front seats are comfortable, it has small windows, a high belt line, and large roof pillars create noticeable blind spots and hamper outward visibility. An eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat is standard, and a six-way power-adjustable passenger seat is optional. There are two complete sets of LATCH connectors for the rear outboard seats. The Camaro's interior offers solid build quality, but hard plastics are abundant, which is especially noticeable around the infotainment screen and some other areas.

Driving

The Camaro's fuel economy is a little below average for a sports car. When equipped with the base engine, the Camaro gets up to 22 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. Models with the V6 return up to 19 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. Camaros with the naturally aspirated V8 engine get up to 16/27 mpg city/highway, while those with the supercharged V8 get among the poorest gas mileage of any mainstream consumer vehicle, with around 13/21 mpg. There's a lot to like about the rear-wheel-drive Camaro's sporty attitude and handling. It takes corners with enthusiasm and feels planted. Even though it has more heft than lighter two-seat sports cars, this Chevy still delivers responsive steering and strong braking ability.
