INFINITI QX56,

Overview

The Infiniti QX56 is a good luxury large SUV. It’s one of the sharpest-handling and quickest SUVs in the class. It also features a high-end and high-tech cabin that includes standard navigation and a 360-degree parking camera.

Inside

The Infiniti QX56 features high-end materials and handsome trim work that includes leather and real wood. There are three rows and standard seating for seven – eight with the available second-row bench seat. First- and second-row passengers enjoy comfortable, spacious seats. The third row has just enough space to accommodate kids, which is a common issue among three-row SUVs. The second row has upper and lower LATCH connectors and the middle seat has an upper tether anchor. A third-row outboard seat also has an upper tether anchor. The QX56 has 95.1 cubic feet of cargo space, which is a good for the class. Standard features include push-button start, tri-zone automatic climate control, Bluetooth, navigation, a USB port, and a 13-speaker Bose stereo.

Driving

The QX56’s brawny 400-horsepower V8 engine can move the bulky SUV quickly and effortlessly down the highway. It comes standard with a smooth and quick-shifting seven-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard and four-wheel drive is available. The QX56’s EPA-estimated fuel economy is on par with its rivals: 14 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway. The QX56 has an above-average tow rating of 8,500 pounds. This is a big SUV but it doesn’t feel like one on winding roads. It also has light, responsive steering and a cushioned ride. The seven-speed automatic transmission also earns praise for its quick shifts and polished demeanor.
