The Jaguar F-Type is a pretty good luxury sports car. The F-Type is offered in sleek coupe and convertible body styles and it has a sizzling lineup of four-, six- and eight-cylinder engines. It’s a blast to drive along winding roads and the suspension keeps this Jaguar feeling surefooted and stable without sacrificing ride comfort. There’s ample cargo space, at least by sports car standards and the F-Type comes loaded with features like Apple CarPlay and forward collision warning.
The Jaguar F-Type coupe has 14.4 cubic feet of trunk space, which is much better than average for a luxury sports car. The convertible has a smaller 7.4-cubic-foot trunk, though it’s still roomy enough for one golf bag or a pair of carry-on bags. It is offered in coupe and convertible body styles. The Jaguar F-Type P300 can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds, which is reasonably quick for a luxury sports car. The F-Type P380 can hit 60 mph in a comparable 4.9 seconds. The F-Type R has a sizzling zero-to-60 time of just 3.5 seconds. The F-Type P380 and F-Type R models come standard with all-wheel drive, while the base model F-Type P300 is offered with rear-wheel drive only. The Jaguar F-Type backs up its sports car appearance with athletic driving dynamics. It feels stable and surefooted when winding around turns, the steering is crisp and nicely weighted and the brakes provide fine stopping power. The F-Type’s ride quality is firm, there is little jostling from the suspension on rough pavement. However, larger bumps and dips are soaked up in reasonable comfort.
