The C300 is powered by a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine displacing 2.0L and making a stout 241 horsepower Fuel economy in the C300 is rated at 25 on the highway and 34 in the city. The C300 is the least-potent C-Class, but it still offers 255 horsepower from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. The shift logic of the Mercedes 9-speed automatic makes most of the engines low-end grunt.


The C300 standard features include a 14-way power adjustable driver's seat, dual-zone climate control, two high-resolution screens with a touchpad interface, USB connectivity, Bluetooth audio streaming, and LED daytime running lamps. An optional Interior Package adds leather seating, perforated and ventilated front seats, a powered front passenger seat and some additional interior lighting. An Air-Balance Package further spruces up the interior environment with an air purifier and a cabin fragrance system that will perfume the air in the C-Class. A Multimedia Package includes a navigation system, as well as a rear view camera and SiriusXM satellite radio.


The C300 is remarkably quiet and well damped. The C300 is a comfortable highway cruiser. It’s not floaty or bouncy, but it’s smooth and handles itself well over bumps. The C300 leads the pack in tech. You can adjust the ambient LED lighting between 64 different colours, use a 360-degree camera to park or have the Benz park itself. It not only automatically brakes to avoid a rear-end collision but  also detect cross traffic and stop from T-boning another car. If it notice that your brakes can’t stop you from hitting a pedestrian, it will steer around it. It also offers semi-autonomous driving that will assist drivers by holding the car in its lane and adjust speed based on traffic and speed limits.
