NISSAN Rogue,

Overview

The Rogue is a good compact SUV. It has soft-touch surfaces, comfortable and spacious cabin. The Rogue also comes with a slew of standard safety and technology features. It has a good predicted reliability rating. Not only is the Rogue slow to accelerate, but its continuously variable automatic transmission causes the underpowered engine to drone loudly at times.

Inside

It seat up to five people in the Rogue's cabin. Both rows have a generous amount of space for passengers, it is comfortable and has supportive seats. There are two sets of LATCH car-seat connectors on the rear outboard seats and an upper tether on the middle seat. The connections are easy to find and use. The Rogue features quality, soft-touch materials throughout its cabin. Cloth upholstery comes standard. A heated steering wheel, heated front seats, leather upholstery, and power-adjustable front seats are optional. The Rogue has 39.3 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats and 70 cubic feet of room with the back row folded down.

Driving

It features a smooth ride and composed handling. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is optional. The Rogue comes equipped with a 170-horsepower four-cylinder engine and a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). This setup provides sufficient power for city driving, but it makes the SUV slow to accelerate. Additionally, the engine can be noisy when pushed hard. One positive for the Rogue is its excellent fuel efficiency. The standard front-wheel-drive Rogue gets 26 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway. Efficiency drops 1 mpg in both the city and on the highway for all-wheel-drive models.
