The Rogue is a good compact SUV. It has soft-touch surfaces, comfortable and spacious cabin. The Rogue also comes with a slew of standard safety and technology features. It has a good predicted reliability rating. Not only is the Rogue slow to accelerate, but its continuously variable automatic transmission causes the underpowered engine to drone loudly at times.

The Rogue comes equipped with a 170-horsepower four-cylinder engine and a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). This setup provides sufficient power for city driving, but it makes the SUV slow to accelerate. Additionally, the engine can be noisy when pushed hard. One positive for the Rogue is its excellent fuel efficiency. The standard front-wheel-drive Rogue gets 26 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway. Efficiency drops 1 mpg in both the city and on the highway for all-wheel-drive models.
