PEUGEOT 307,

Overview

The car offers 3 options for the engine, two of them are petrol and the others are diesel, which are available in 1.6 L and 2.0 L versions. The engines are combined with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The Peugeot 307 has spacious interior, massive choice of engines, strong dynamics and good safety rating

Inside

The 307 Peugeot 2008 is capable of housing up to four people, the second passenger in the back seats seems cramped. The front seats may have to be moved forward a little in order to widen the legroom. The front seats are said to be spacious and comfortable for both the driver and passengers. Speaking of the cabin space, the 307 receives appreciation as it is quite spacious for holding luggage and can be widened by folding the rear seats.

Driving

A smooth ride characterises the 307. It soaks up bumps with composure and has a long-legged, soothing feel at speed. Handling is OK but the car's strange MPV-like cabin makes it hard to place with accuracy. The 180bhp 2.0-litre sounds like a fun range-topper but it's not, demanding unrealistic revs and suffering a torque deficit. On the road, the 307 Peugeot 2008 showcases a nice balance with a solid braking feel, communicative steering and a good grip. The 4-cylinder 1.6 L engine generates 147 Nm and 80 kW while the 2.0L produces 190 Nm and 100 kW. The 2.0 diesel’s figures are 206 Nm and 66 kW.
