The Megane's exterior is stylish and the interior is impressive by the interior too. Dominating higher-spec models is a large portrait-orientated touchscreen, similar to those found in the much more expensive Volvo XC90 and Tesla Model S. Less expensive trim levels make do with a smaller conventional screen but both act as the control centre of an infotainment system that offers DAB radio, even in the entry-level Play model.
The Renault Megane has an impressive interior, with the GT Line model enjoying a huge portrait-orientated touchscreen that dominates the centre of the dashboard. There is choice of plush seat fabrics and high-quality materials. The dashboard is the 8.7-inch, portrait-orientated infotainment screen. The TomTom sat-nav system is easy to use, the climates control and heated windscreen can all be controlled using the row of buttons under the screen and their touch-sensitive nature can be a little fiddly on the move. The entry-level Play comes well-equipped, with a seven-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, Bluetooth, DAB radio, USB connectivity, LED daytime running lights, air-conditioning and keyless entry.
